To celebrate the learning of German and equally to instill confidence and social skill amongst the children, The Tribhuvan School, Patna in collabration with GIC, Patna and Goethe Institute Kolkata organised a day night German Camp - "Hallo Deutschland' on 27th and 28th October 2018 in the school premises. Around 25 schools in an around the city participated in this special camp. Apart from the students of the host school, The Tribhuvan School, 13 Kendriya Vidyalaya, Litera Valley, Mount Litera Zee School, S.T. Raza Boys School, Raza International Girls School, DPS Gaya etc. took part in the camp. All together 100 students along with their escorted teachers were present.
The registration was done on the campus and the students had their delicious and healthy meals followed by a short session of orientation which was conducted by Ms. Archana Rani, the director of GIC, Patna to break the ice and set the tempo of camping. The students were divided in three groups according to their classes viz. Class VI, VII, VIII. The camp consists of various activities and tasks throughout the day. They attended three simultaneous classes of German consisting of numbers, talking about time and about German words. These classes brushed up the knowledge of Noun, Verb and Adjective in German language among the students. There after the students enjoyed their independence and time away from home as they were kept gainfully engaged with a variety of fun-filled and supervised activities. Laughter and giggles echoed through the corridors of the school as students enjoyed to the fullest. The preparation of 3-D project was the most enjoyable project followed by an interesting German movie with English subtitles. The highlight of the Camp was the Bonfire and dance party. They danced and swayed to the lively beating till late evening.
The next morning was a cool and pleasant one and the children were woken up with a smile. They freshened up and got ready for morning yoga session. The final presentation ceremony was embellished by the presence of DC of Patna Region, the principal of K. V. Danapur, Ms. Sagarika from Goethe Institute Kolkata, Ms. Archana Rani, director GLC and Ms. Mahua Das Gupta, the principal of The Tribhuvan School, Patna. Prizes and certificates were distributed with encourage words.
In all the two days German Camp was an enriching one.
