One who has achieved the zenith of excellence is always an example for the whole world. Keeping this in mind and as a gesture of showing reverence to such an embodiment of excellenceand to its founder,Shree Tribhuvan Prasad Singh, an ICS officer, The Tribhuvan School, Patna organised an Oratory Conclave – An Inter-School Debate and Recitation competition to observe the Founder’s Day on 24thof November 2018on school campus. This gracious day was celebrated to mark his 105thbirth anniversary and to renew his vision.
Midst the chanting of the soulful rendition of “shubham karotee kalyanam…”,the memorial lamp was lit by the Principal , Mrs. Mahua Das Guptaand the judges of the day Dr.Smriti Singh, professor IIT Patna, Dr. Chetna Sinha, Ex-Professor, AMITY university and the guest of honour Dr.Shiv Jatan Thakur, Retd. HOD English, Patna University to usher in auspiciousness, abundance and prosperity. The Prayer Song by the school choir filled the ambience with divinity and soulfulness.
The next to it was the felicitation of the honourable judges and the guest of honour by the principal followed by a musical extravaganza ' Dream, believe and reach the sky ' aligned with the vision of our founder to dare to dream and work towards fulfilling them. The principal, Mrs. Mahua Das Gupta extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and the esteemed gathering. In her welcome address, she emphasized a need of developing oratory skills among students to cope up with challenges of modern world.
As part of the first category of the ORATORY CONCLAVE, the thematic recitation on “Tears and Smiles” was conducted which witnessed a team of two students of around fifteen prestigious schoolsacross the city from class VI to VIII to give a tough fight for the covetous trophy.
The second category of this gracious occasion was Verbal War – An Inter-SchoolDebate Competition which was open to students from class IX to XII. The topic for the participants of the debate competition was ‘Can Money Buy Happiness?’ The students confidently presented themselves before the audience and the judges.It was really interesting to watch the young generation deciding what happiness is and where it can be bought.
A dance on ‘Colorful Indian Culture’ by the students was the other stupendous attraction of the eventful day to begin with the Valedictory Function.
The winner trophy was bagged by Talba Reyaz of International school. Faham Rahman of Notre Dame Academy and Seetal Kumari of St. Karen's Secondary Academy were adjudged 1st runner-up and 2nd runner in-up respectively Category B : An Inter-School Recitation Competition.
In Category A : An Inter-School Debate Competition, the winner trophy was bagged by Maryam Raza Khan of Notre Dame Academy, Aaditri Vaibhav of The Tribhuvan School and Navratra of Carmel High school were adjudged 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively.
The Rolling trophy was bagged by Notre Dame Academy. While addressing the gathering, the judge of the day motivated and congratulated all the proud winners of the competitions. She also appreciated the management of the Tribhuvan School for organizing such a great platform to unearth hidden talents and enhance the creative temper in the students. Vote of Thanks was proposed by Head Mistress, Mrs. Swati Pradeep.
