The 70th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at The Tribhuvan School, Patna on 26th January, 2019. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of solidarity.
The school organised a Prabhat Pheri in which students and teachers participated actively. Over 600 students holding the Tricolour, placards with messages of freedom and liberty and singing some good patriotic songs started taking rounds from its new campus of Pre - Primary Wing at Patliputra at 7:30 a.m The students took this procession not only to show the solidarity of the national festival but also to invoke the spirit of Indianess.
After the Prabhat Pheri team of excited students and teachers came back to school by 9:30 a.m. The customary unfurling of the National Flag followed by National Anthem commenced. The school echoed with patriotic fervor and gaiety as the school premises was adorned in the hues of the tricolour & balloons. Thereafter the choir group brought the stage alive with soul stirring patriotic song 'Hum Sab Bhartiya Hain' as a tribute to the country. To mark the importance of this grand festival of the country speeches in English and Hindi were delivered by the students of class 8 and 9 respectively. The highlight of the day was the soulful dance performance on the song 'Vande Mataram'.
Mrs. Mahua Das Gupta, principal while addressing the gathering motivated the students to be the harbingers of a social change to build a new, better and stronger India. She urged the students to uphold the honour, integrity, diversity and uniqueness of India. The students dispersed with the image of fluttering tricolour in their minds.
