Republic Day Celebration
A nation’s culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people”
January 26 celebrations were not just be confined to hoisting the Tricolour. The idea was to delve deep into some of the salient features of the Indian Constitution and also to commemorate Indian freedom struggle heroes.
The Republic Day Programme organized by The Tribhuvan School.
A beautifully decorated stage was already ready for the cultural programme. Mrs. Mahua Dasgupta unfurled the National Flag with the rendition of the National Anthem. A wonderfully designed short program was presented by the students touching every aspect of patriotism, brotherhood and the responsibilities of a good citizen. The program platter had in it a patriotic song to start with followed by the poem ‘ Meri Desh ki dharti’. The colourful dance fiesta showcased a medley of different classical dance forms representing various states of our country but at the same time uniting under the Tricolour. The skit was extremely informative, taking us through the historical journey of the National Flag. A kawaali was presented reminding us of our responsibilities to help achieve the dreams of Swachh Bharat by our Honorable Prime Minister. The programme ended with the inspiring words of Principal Mrs Mahua Dasgupta where she reminded us that being a citizen of an independent country is not only to enjoy the rights safeguarded by the constitution but also to perform the duties. The festivities ended with the release of a bunch of tricolor balloons by the tiny tots of the Preprimary branch hoping they may also fly high , scale the top and make their country reach to the epitome of success and development.
