Oratory Conclave 2024
The Tribhuvan School, Patna organized the Annual Oratory Conclave - a mega festival where the power of words asserted the power of the generation. December 5, 2024 saw the entire school premises abuzz with life and activity.
The programme opened with the customary lighting of the lamp followed by a welcome song. The competition witnessed a participation of 50 students from 14 schools of Patna. The Principal Mrs. Mahua Das Gupta declared the competition open amidst cheers.
The debate session had fourteen teams vying to prove their respective motion, -
IS CULTURAL TOURISM, A SUSTAINABLE WAY TO FUND HERITAGE PRESERVATION, OR DOES IT COMMERCEALIZE AND DAMAGE THE AUTHENTICITY OF CULTURAL SITES?
The aim of organizing such events is to hone the public speaking skills and also train the budding speakers to articulate while expressing their thoughts and opinions. The two-hour steamy session ended with Adwitiya Parth of The Tribhuvan School clinching the best speaker trophy followed by Bhavya Nathani of Don Bosco Academy walking away with the runner’s trophy. Arnav Raj of Litra Valley was declared the second runners up. The judges had a hard time, for each one of the speakers had worked meticulously in terms of pronunciation, clarity, voice modulation and expression.
The rolling trophy was won by the hosts, The Tribhuvan School. As an added gesture, it was handed over to Don Bosco School, the second best in the order. The gesture won both applauses and hearts.
The Recitation and the Elocution Session kept the audience bound to their chairs, with the children exhibiting their oratorical skills with poise and panache. In the junior recitation category Aadya of The Tribhuvan School was awarded the first prize, Aditi of Don Bosco Academy, the second, followed by Kaushiki Shree of DPS East, the third.
